Compassion Fatigue

I wanted to share a great article I just read in this September’s issue of Oprah Winfrey’s “O” magazine. It’s called “ Five Ways to Help Yourself” by Tim Jarvis - It’s actually a “sidebar” to his “Do You Have Compassion Fatigue?” article in the “mindwise” section of the magazine.

socializing and had begun to lose all hope that things would someday get
better. I knew there was somethin… Continue

Quite honestly, it is something that I have never thought about and I felt blessed to be given an opportunity to read and learn more.

As a father of a Sensational Child, I have wondered about what happens when someone with SPD ages and sought out info… Continue

Challenge and URGENT Request From the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation Regarding DSM Recognition

Here is the text of an URGENT email from the SPD Foundation. I just donated $75 and am issuing a challenge to donate at least $7.50 (cost of a movie) or meet/beat my pledge. Please help in anyway you can...

Barely six months remain before our final research data is due to the committee considering diagnostic recognition of Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). We are $200,000 short of the funds we need to complete the five research projects underpinning our application for recognition in DS… Continue
